Support Engineer (Product) - Intern

We are seeking a dynamic and technically inclined intern to join our team as a Support Engineer – Product(Intern). In this role, you will work closely with merchants to provide both pre- and post-integration support, solve technical issues, and help ensure a seamless integration experience with PayGlocal’s payment products.

What will you be working on
  • Pre-integration:
    • Provide hands-on technical guidance to merchants during integration, resolving deep technical queries.
    • Assist merchants in implementing SDKs and APIs effectively.
    • Conduct code reviews and provide best practice recommendations.
    • Collaborate with merchants to enable custom features or solutions.
    • Optimize and refine integration code for better performance and reliability.
  • Post-integration:
    • Diagnose and resolve technical issues post go-live.
    • Analyze logs and code to identify integration-related bugs.
    • Work with engineering teams to address bugs and process improvements.
    • Keep internal support teams updated with clear progress communication.
Qualifications
  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Understanding of APIs, SDKs, and basic payment systems.
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language such as Java, Python, PHP, or Ruby.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred
  • Exposure to payment integrations or technical support roles.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
